We found a great farm that had a lot to see and do!!! They had pig races, a petting farm, corn maze, a corn pitt and of course many pumpkin patchs. Hannah was full speed the whole time!! Which was good to work off the Breakfast she ate out with Jon and I. Where did she put it OH MY - 2 animal shaped pancakes, bowl of fruit and 1 whole egg. The drive was a bit long and she passed out in the car on the way home!
and We're off
Hey when are these piggies going to race - huh?
Hi Bunny ! (note she's waving - she waved to ALL the animals)
Horse Swings
Corn Pit (think sandbox filled with dried corn)
They had lot's of playground things, slides, swings, mazes
and this climbing wood tractor
Snack break in the baby pumpkin patch
one...two... - counting all the pumpkins
Shhh.... she took all the price tag stickers off the pumpkins
Just had to share how cute she is deck'd out in Daddy's favorite Team. She can't say Chicago ... so it comes out more like Ka-kahgo bears :) Found this cute shirt at Old Navy (What?!) Lucky for me the only one they had left was a 2T, I'm on the hunt at other locations to find 3 & 4T - so we'll be set for years to come!!
She was so excited to show Daddy his surprise - Her new "football shirt" she barely had it on and one leg in her jeans before she was trying to come down the stairs, yelling for him "daddy i got surprise"....
I try to leave work at 4pm on Fridays for multiple reasons, and 1 being more time with little person. We've been having our special adventures that included the ice cream day you saw here! Maybe we'll post pone something so messy for a while. I don't know if I'm over the sticky-ness yet.
Today we went by a little park. The good thing we were the only one so Hannah got to Rule the Kingdom. As only a toddler attention span dictates - swing, run, slide, bridge, back to slide, more running, swing - you get the picture. Here's a glimpse of her getting so big and independent.
Today was a BIG day .... We started peddling all by ourself!!! YUP, foot by foot we're getting there :)
Hannah only would go a few feet then need a jump start but, she's getting the feel.
Yes, you see it correctly, Hannah got to have a treat of Ice Cream or Ice Dream as Chick-Fil-A calls it. A warm Friday afternoon with a nice breeze and mommy actually got out of work at 4:00!! Why go home right away, no way. Happiness was screaming in the back seat when the word "ice cream" was slightly mentioned. So we shared a yummy treat. Stickiness was expected, wipes were close at hand. What wasn't counted on was the stickiness would be all over her legs too... Oh my! I guess a two year old doesn't understand the paying it forward philosophy when in t-minus one minute after the ice "dream" was gone we bit mommy because we didn't want to walk down the sidewalk, get in the car, sit in the carseat. Ahhh to be two!
I've only been looking for a tricycle since before her birthday... It became quickly apparent that stores run out of outdoor items in early spring :) Lesson Learned! So in an effort not to pay outrageous shipping cost of online retailers - I've been surfing Craigslist (but, of course)
I stumbled across this little cutie for a steal. It's a brand I've been looking for and it's made with over 95% recycled materials. So what could make mommy even happier? Even though my hunt was NOT for a "PINK" bike - The deal on this one was irresistible.
Spoke to the dad that was selling it and with such a typical married couple story : He purchased this one for his little princess and his wife not to long after found the exact replica of the one she had as a kid, so who won? You guessed it! So this little bike was ridden all of 2 times!
Hannah's still figuring out how to push down and circle the pedals but, is getting much better! I'm sure I'll be posting shots to come of her zooming away!
This week was spirit week at Hannah’s School. We’ve had a rainbow day (tacky day), PJ day, Sports Day – you get the picture ... Well today was “CAREER DAY” ---- umm what is in a 2yr olds wardrobe to dress them up as a career ?
Let’s see, a hand-me-down outfit that is in true Cowgirl style and of course!!!
We just had to accompany the ensemble with Mommies Cabbage Patch Horse (yes it’s from the 80’s here folks) that we’ve named “Pollo” after my Best Friend Tricia's Arabian that looks like just like it. Had to snap this pictures early before she wore her breakfast and lunch on the white shirt.
It would seem that Hannah has decided every inadimate object needs "timeout" time. Some are understood and some plain just aren't. The other day a book fell of her chair and hit her leg - so with out me seeing she put the book in time out grabbed her timeout timer and I came around the corner and asked what she was doing and she said. "Not Nice Book" "Book need timeout". Okay fine... Baby dolls of course have thier moments tooo, she will state that they hit or something else that is obvious what SHE gets in trouble for at school :) The ones that baffle me are in the car, we drive by big pick-up trucks she says all the time that they need to go into time out and "Not Nice Truck"?? Hmmmm.... Not sure on this?! Mercy of course get's his fair share in in time-out if he steals food or runs through the house to fast and knocks her down. At least he complies, we sit him in the timeout corner and ususally he stays - I don't think he gets the reprocussions quite as Hannah does.
Hannah had her two year Doctor Appointment today
Statistics
Weight : 25lbs 6oz
Height : 33-35 inchs (we squirmed quite a bit & didn't want to stand against the ruler - so 4 try's later we have an estimate)
Typically she handles shots with ease and no side effects have ever been noticed.
Today a bit of a different story. Poor muchkin ran warm all day & limped. Her daycare teachers had to change her into her spare shorts because they were looser. Even though she was whiney, she said some cute things about how her leg hurt and what she wanted me to do make it better. On the flip side, I took complete advantage of a little one that wanted to cuddle instead of run circles around me :)
RAINBOW
Ironically as part of thier curriculum the kids had a day this week they learned about rainbows! Today after some big thunderstorms we had a full rainbow appear on our way home. I snapped a few pictures of her admiring what the sunshine and raindrops make :)
It's Mid-Month Crunch for Daddy, So Hannah & Mommy had a Fun Day Together!
Our day was filled with Games outside with a big playground ball and we drew Daddy a picture to let him know we were thinking of him.
After helping mom do some weekly cleaning - of course by singing the "clean-up" song from school - I'm not sure how it goes but, Hannah sure knows how as she sings it LOUD around the house
We topped our afternoon off with a few errands - Getting Stickers at the Dollar Store & using a "get one free" coupon at Micky D's for a Smoothie .... "MMMM Hannah Like it" (She'll be sure to tell you what she likes and doesn't like sometimes both in the same sentence :)
To end our day we had Pizza and a movie - Which included Dora the Explorer of course - Thank goodness for On-Demand TV :)
After a long day of fun - Mom and Hannah got to cuddle in bed - You'd think staying up a little later than normal would of had her sleep in more - NEGATIVE we got up at 7a.m. on the dot
I can't believe that it's been a whole year!
I know there will never be another pet that could ever fill my heart like he did. I will forever miss and Love him!
Hannah had a special attraction to him when he was around - Maybe it was that he gave the biggest kisses or that he'd let her pull on those long lips of his :)
